PowerTech Vent Model 06076
The PTV series is a +24V input, 15 Amp output, high performance Intergrated Switching Regulator. The 15A capability allows easy intergration of the latest high-speed,
low-voltage ventilators requiring a 12 Volt DC input voltage. The output voltage of the PTV power center can be easily factory programmed over a wide range.
It has differential remote sense capabilities which provide automatic compensation for any voltage drop for the ISR to the load.
 
 
 
 
 
Turn-On Time:
There is no on/off switch associated with this unit. Power is always applied the moment the unit is connected to a wheelchair.
We have designed the PowerTech Vent to begin applying power following a brief delay of 8-18ms, the output voltage of the ISR regulator will rise to full regulation within 20ms.
Figure 2 shows the typical output voltage waveform of the PTV ISR after applying power to the unit.
This waveform was measured using a 24 Volt DC input source voltage, with a 10 Amp resistive load.
 
 
 
 
Base & Cover
The PowerTech Vent Power Center utilizes a Heavy-duty vinyl-clad steel cover and extruded aluminum base which provide durability and a solid feel.
 
EMI Shielding
The PowerTech Vent Power Center is EMI shielded.
 
Battery Requirements & Battery Life
Richardson Products Inc. recommends that the largest battery possible be purchased that will accommodate the wheelchair design.
We also recommend that if your batteries are more than 6 months old they should be replaced in order to establish a good baseline measurement for battery life cycle.
Lead Acid & Gel Cell batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and should be replaced every year. Battery life and number of charge cycles vary by use and settings. See www.richardsonproducts.com/batterychemistry.html for more information.
